2020年奥地利全球和平摄影奖入围者名单公布，本届大赛共吸引了来自118个国家的19711幅参赛作品，其中大部分来自俄罗斯，其次是中国、印度、德国、伊朗和美国。国际评审团最终共选出42幅优秀作品入围本届赛事，最终获胜者将于2021年公布，他们将被邀请到维也纳参加在奥地利议会举行的颁奖典礼，届时将展示获奖图片。
本赛事由奥地利出版商Edition Lammerhuber主办，协办单位有The Photographische Gesellschaft（PHG），联合国教科文组织UNESCO、奥地利国会、奥地利国会报告协会、国际新闻学会(IPI)和德国青年摄影奖，同时还受到世界新闻摄影奖（World Press Photo）的大力支持。
